Fat Bastard DRAFTING FOR THEJaguars

Kennard should have been long gone. The Jaguars pounced, and earned a B. Call it larceny. Kyle Kennard sat on the board until the Round 4 slot, and the Jaguars did not need to be asked twice.
They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 6 of 9, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom. The dealing was even money, start to finish.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick5
Rnd1
Mason Graham
In Round 1, Pick 5 they get a load in the middle at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick36
Rnd2
Tyler Warren
Somehow Tyler Warren was still sitting there in slot 36, and they pounced on premier tight end value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick70
Rnd3
Darien Porter
They took Darien Porter at par in pick No. 70, which is nothing to complain about. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick88
Rnd3
Charles Grant
Charles Grant at the Round 3 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick108
Rnd4
Will Howard
They let Will Howard come to them and pounced at the 108th overall pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick126
Rnd4
Kyle Kennard
Kyle Kennard at the 126th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick142
Rnd5
Chimere Dike
Circle this one: Chimere Dike at pick 142 is a fall that decides a draft. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick182
Rnd6
CJ West
CJ West at No. 182 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick194
Rnd6
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. slid further than he should have, and the Round 6 slot is lovely value for the wide receiver. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick221
Rnd7
Carson Vinson
By-the-book stuff, Carson Vinson at No. 221 squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
