Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-

Good, not great, for the Ravens: B-.

Nobody had Collin Oliver this high, and it is not close. The Ravens reached 56 spots to get him at slot 243. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Jonah Savaiinaea
In the Round 1 slot they get protection for the quarterback, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick59 Rnd2 Wyatt Milum
They took Wyatt Milum at par in the 59th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick91 Rnd3 Darius Alexander
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Darius Alexander. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick129 Rnd4 Mello Dotson
The board had cheaper options than Mello Dotson at slot 129, and it noticed. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick136 Rnd4 LeQuint Allen
LeQuint Allen in pick 136 is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick176 Rnd5 Addison West
They talked themselves into Addison West at Round 5, Pick 38, and the board did not agree. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick183 Rnd6 Drew Kendall
They paid a round early for Drew Kendall in slot 183, more than the board wanted. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick203 Rnd6 KeAndre Lambert-Smith
KeAndre Lambert-Smith at the Round 6 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The roster fit checks out.
Pick210 Rnd6 Simeon Barrow Jr.
They reached into another round for Simeon Barrow Jr., and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick212 Rnd6 Alex Mastromanno
A real head-scratcher, Alex Mastromanno in the 212th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick243 Rnd7 Collin Oliver
Collin Oliver at pick No. 243 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It fills a real need, too.
