Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bills and Ransom: B.

Somebody in the 132nd pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bills sat still while Lathan Ransom, the No. 104 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Every board in the league had Thornton Jr. lower, and that gap is the story. Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Jalon Walker
In the 30th pick they get a green-dot type in the middle at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick56 Rnd2 Trey Amos
The board had Trey Amos higher than slot 56, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick62 Rnd2 Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins at Round 2, Pick 30 is money in the bank, a interior defensive lineman taken below his worth. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick109 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
Joshua Farmer at pick No. 109 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick132 Rnd4 Lathan Ransom
A safety of that caliber at pick 132 is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick169 Rnd5 O'Donnell Fortune
They read the board right and O'Donnell Fortune was the payoff at the 169th overall pick. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick170 Rnd5 Chase Lundt
A straight-up fair deal on Chase Lundt at the Round 5 slot, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick173 Rnd5 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
A premium they did not need to pay, Dont'e Thornton Jr. a notch or two before his time. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick177 Rnd6 Bhayshul Tuten
They robbed the room for Bhayshul Tuten here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick206 Rnd6 Luke Lachey
They took Luke Lachey at par in the Round 6 slot, which is nothing to complain about. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
