Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA- FutureA
The Jaguars let Bond fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Isaiah Bond tumbling to the Jaguars in No. 106 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.

The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
Kenneth Grant in the Round 1 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick36 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
By-the-book stuff, Tyler Booker at Round 2, Pick 4 squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick58 Rnd2 Azareye'h Thomas
They took Azareye'h Thomas at par in No. 58, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick70 Rnd3 Elic Ayomanor
Elic Ayomanor at pick No. 70 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick84 Rnd3 Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo is a better player than the 84th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick88 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson at slot 88 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick106 Rnd4 Isaiah Bond
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Isaiah Bond in pick 106, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick123 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo at the 123rd overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick125 Rnd4 Hollin Pierce
The board had Hollin Pierce higher than pick 125, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick127 Rnd4 Kevin Winston Jr.
Kevin Winston Jr. in Round 4, Pick 26 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
