The steal of the weekend belongs to the Panthers and Ransaw: B+. Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Panthers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.
Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Ransaw steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
The Panthers paired the rookies with proven help, Trey Hendrickson leading the way.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick17
Rnd1
Tetairoa McMillan
In Round 1, Pick 17 they get a No. 1 receiver. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick74
Rnd3
Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo at slot 74 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick140
Rnd5
Malachi Moore
By-the-book stuff, Malachi Moore at the Round 5 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick230
Rnd7
Caleb Ransaw
The board fumbled Caleb Ransaw all the way to pick No. 230, and they scooped it up. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
