Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesC+ FutureB
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Buccaneers.

The war room fell hard for Troy Bowles, and it showed at the 237th pick: 101 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas.

Lew at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Matayo Uiagalelei
In the 24th overall pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick64 Rnd2 Jordyn Tyson
A wide receiver of that caliber at the Round 2 slot is the definition of value, full stop. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick88 Rnd3 Connor Lew
Steal is underselling it; Connor Lew at pick No. 88 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick124 Rnd4 D'Angelo Ponds
Value with a capital V on D'Angelo Ponds in No. 124, a genuine coup. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick163 Rnd5 Earnest Greene III
No drama and no debate, Earnest Greene III went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 25. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick202 Rnd6 Quinten Joyner
Quinten Joyner at pick 202 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The roster fit checks out.
Pick217 Rnd7 Luke Altmyer
Luke Altmyer slipping to pick No. 217 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick237 Rnd7 Troy Bowles
Value said wait; Troy Bowles in slot 237 says they were not listening. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
