Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall

FutureC+
The Seahawks let Loveland fall and pounced. Final grade: C-. The Seahawks lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C-.
However the rest shakes out, Loveland at that price is a win they earned. If Wilson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
The Michael Mayer deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.
Pick Analysis
Pick20
Rnd1
Nick Emmanwori
In the 20th pick they get a rangy last line of defense at fair value.
Pick37
Rnd2
Shavon Revel Jr.
They let Shavon Revel Jr. come to them and pounced at the 37th overall pick. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick50
Rnd2
Colston Loveland
Steal is underselling it; Colston Loveland at No. 50 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick65
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
A slide stopped in pick 65, with TreVeyon Henderson worth more than the price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick82
Rnd3
Jared Wilson
A big swing on Jared Wilson at slot 82, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick85
Rnd3
Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild at Round 3, Pick 21 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick128
Rnd4
Kyle Williams
They paid sticker price for Kyle Williams in the Round 4 slot, and that is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick172
Rnd5
Logan Brown
Logan Brown at pick 172 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick175
Rnd5
Jack Kiser
A reach on Jack Kiser in slot 175; the board had better options right there. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick205
Rnd6
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. in pick No. 205 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick223
Rnd7
Desmond Watson
Desmond Watson at Round 7, Pick 7 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick234
Rnd7
Cam Jackson
Cam Jackson at the 234th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
