Draft Grade — Browns

Slaughter should have been long gone. The Browns pounced, and earned a A-. Whoever sat across the table from the Browns should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Slaughter pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
In the end it comes back to Makai Lemon, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Spencer Fano
In the 9th pick they get a blindside protector. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick24
Rnd1
Makai Lemon
In Round 1, Pick 24 they get a No. 1 receiver, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick39
Rnd2
Olaivavega Ioane
Olaivavega Ioane at the Round 2 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick70
Rnd3
Jake Slaughter
Circle this one: Jake Slaughter at the 70th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
