Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B+
ValueB+ NeedB TradesB+ FutureA
Larceny in the Round 4 slot lands the Raiders a B+, McNeil-Warren and all.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Raiders watched Emmanuel McNeil-Warren slide 51 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

They are betting Anderson II proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The T.J. Watt deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In slot 21 they get a green-dot type in the middle at a price that makes it sweeter. More want than need.
Pick36 Rnd2 Makai Lemon
Makai Lemon at the 36th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick67 Rnd3 Olaivavega Ioane
They will replay Olaivavega Ioane at No. 67 for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick99 Rnd3 Jack Endries
Jack Endries at the 99th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick102 Rnd4 D'Angelo Ponds
D'Angelo Ponds at Round 4, Pick 2 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick117 Rnd4 Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
They barely believed it either: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren still on the board at pick No. 117. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick134 Rnd4 Taylen Green
This one needs a full-page explanation: Taylen Green in the Round 4 slot, miles early. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick174 Rnd5 Gracen Halton
No edge and no loss on Gracen Halton in pick 174; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick180 Rnd6 Trey Zuhn III
They talked themselves into Trey Zuhn III at pick 180, and the board did not agree. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick183 Rnd6 Eric O'Neill
A big swing on Eric O'Neill at Round 6, Pick 4, well ahead of any board in the building. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick219 Rnd7 Raheem Anderson II
Raheem Anderson II at the Round 7 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
