Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

FutureB-
The Bears lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story. Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Bears, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.
Reaching for Hall left real value on the table behind him. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.
The Styles steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Kayden McDonald
No edge and no loss on Kayden McDonald in the 25th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick33
Rnd2
Caleb Banks
A tidy little value on Caleb Banks in slot 33, a step better than break-even. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick44
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
Dillon Thieneman at pick No. 44 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick57
Rnd2
Sonny Styles
They robbed the room for Sonny Styles here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick89
Rnd3
Monroe Freeling
They left a pile of value on the table to take Monroe Freeling this early at pick 89. It fills a real need, too.
Pick103
Rnd4
Zachariah Branch
Zachariah Branch at the Round 4 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick129
Rnd4
Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun at No. 129 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick163
Rnd5
Lander Barton
A straight-up fair deal on Lander Barton at the 163rd pick, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick175
Rnd5
Bud Clark
Bud Clark in slot 175 is fair value, right on his grade. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick178
Rnd5
Le'Veon Moss
Nothing to complain about; Le'Veon Moss went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick192
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
By-the-book stuff, Trey Zuhn III at pick 192 squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick206
Rnd6
Barion Brown
They paid sticker price for Barion Brown in No. 206, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick210
Rnd6
Brett Norfleet
No drama and no debate, Brett Norfleet went about where he belonged in Round 6, Pick 31. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick218
Rnd7
Jordan Hall
They reached a country mile for Jordan Hall at the Round 7 slot, and the board is aghast. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
