Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall

FutureA
A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Seahawks get a C. The Jalin Conyers pick is the one that will follow the Seahawks into the fall. They took him 331 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Joyner. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.
The Danielle Hunter pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
If Amari Kight and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Amari Kight
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Amari Kight. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick50
Rnd2
Jalin Conyers
Jalin Conyers at slot 50 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The roster fit checks out.
Pick52
Rnd2
Xavier Watts
They read the board right and Xavier Watts was the payoff at Round 2, Pick 20. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick82
Rnd3
Logan Parr
Logan Parr in the Round 3 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick129
Rnd4
Jam Griffin
A wild overpay on Jam Griffin in the 129th pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick146
Rnd5
Riley Leonard
Riley Leonard slid further than he should have, and No. 146 is lovely value for the quarterback. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick172
Rnd5
Jamon Dumas-Johnson
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jamon Dumas-Johnson well ahead of where he belonged. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick175
Rnd5
Kai Kroeger
This one needs a full-page explanation: Kai Kroeger in Round 5, Pick 37, miles early. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick212
Rnd6
Roc Taylor
They talked themselves into Roc Taylor at pick 212, and the board did not agree. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick223
Rnd7
Aydan White
Aydan White in pick No. 223 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick234
Rnd7
Max Brosmer
Max Brosmer at the Round 7 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick242
Rnd7
Jah Joyner
You do not let an edge rusher like Jah Joyner reach the 242nd pick and blink. They did not. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick243
Rnd7
Bryson Nesbit
A real head-scratcher, Bryson Nesbit in No. 243 is miles ahead of his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
