Draft Grade — Bills
Overall D+
ValueF NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Bills have some explaining to do: D+.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Bills reached some 264 spots for Deshawn Pace, and value like that does not grow back. Hard to defend, and the D+ reflects that.

However the rest shakes out, Membou at that price is a win they earned. They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it.

Spending an early pick on cornerback with linebacker, edge rusher and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Quincy Riley
In the Round 1 slot they get a potential shutdown corner, a steep price for the projection.
Pick56 Rnd2 Sam Brown Jr.
Sam Brown Jr. at the 56th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick62 Rnd2 Aeneas Peebles
Aeneas Peebles in Round 2, Pick 30 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick109 Rnd4 Giles Jackson
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Giles Jackson well ahead of where he belonged. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick132 Rnd4 Alijah Huzzie
A curious use of the 132nd pick. Linebacker, edge rusher and other spots needed the pick; a cornerback in Alijah Huzzie did not.
Pick169 Rnd5 Deshawn Pace
Deshawn Pace at slot 169 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick170 Rnd5 James Burnip
James Burnip at the 170th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick173 Rnd5 Armand Membou
The board fumbled Armand Membou all the way to pick No. 173, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick177 Rnd6 Walter Nolen
Steal is underselling it; Walter Nolen at pick 177 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick206 Rnd6 Marcus Yarns
A big swing on Marcus Yarns at No. 206, well ahead of any board in the building. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
