Jaybeast17 DRAFTING FOR THEBuccaneers

Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall

FutureB-
The Buccaneers landed square in the muddy middle: C-. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Buccaneers shredded theirs for Jam Griffin. He came off 288 spots early, and the room will hear about it. It nets out a thoroughly average C-.
The Baron pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Tight end was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.
Pick Analysis
Pick19
Rnd1
Que Robinson
In No. 19 they get a double-digit-sack hope, though the board says they badly overpaid. A real need, handled.
Pick53
Rnd2
Shemar Stewart
Shemar Stewart in pick No. 53 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick84
Rnd3
Mike Green
Mike Green at the Round 3 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick121
Rnd4
Jam Griffin
A real head-scratcher, Jam Griffin in Round 4, Pick 19 is miles ahead of his ranking. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick157
Rnd5
Robbie Ouzts
This one needs a full-page explanation: Robbie Ouzts in the 157th overall pick, miles early. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick235
Rnd7
Tyler Baron
Taking Tyler Baron in pick 235 is close to grand larceny; an edge rusher that good had no business lasting this long. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
