hharter1066 DRAFTING FOR THEChiefs
Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall

FutureB-
The Chiefs checked most of the boxes and earned a B-. You can hear the double-takes from here. The Chiefs took Harold Perkins Jr. at No. 74, roughly 30 spots before his name belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
Bell falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
David Bailey
In slot 9 they get a double-digit-sack hope, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
Pick40
Rnd2
Kenyon Sadiq
You do not let a tight end like Kenyon Sadiq reach pick 40 and blink. They did not. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick74
Rnd3
Harold Perkins Jr.
They reached a country mile for Harold Perkins Jr. at the Round 3 slot, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick109
Rnd4
Skyler Bell
They barely believed it either: Skyler Bell still on the board at pick No. 109. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
