Draft Grade — Browns
Overall
A-
ValueB

TradesA+
FutureA
The Browns robbed the room for Lew. Final grade: A-. Whoever sat across the table from the Browns should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Lew. Every board in the league had Mahlman lower, and that gap is the story.
The veteran additions, Quentin Johnston chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Bottom line, with Denzel Boston leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
Pick Analysis
Pick22
Rnd1
Denzel Boston
In slot 22 they get a matchup problem out wide. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick26
Rnd1
Kenyon Sadiq
In pick 26 they get a red-zone target to build around at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick39
Rnd2
Emmanuel Pregnon
A straight-up fair deal on Emmanuel Pregnon at the 39th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. The roster fit checks out.
Pick55
Rnd2
Chris Bell
Chris Bell is a better player than pick No. 55 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick70
Rnd3
Max Iheanachor
They paid up for Max Iheanachor at the Round 3 slot when waiting would have done the job. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick91
Rnd3
Connor Lew
Connor Lew at No. 91 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
Pick107
Rnd4
Chase Bisontis
Good price on Chase Bisontis in pick 107, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick126
Rnd4
Ar'maj Reed-Adams
Ar'maj Reed-Adams at the Round 4 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick139
Rnd5
Aamil Wagner
A reach on Aamil Wagner in Round 5, Pick 1; the board had better options right there. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick144
Rnd5
Domani Jackson
Domani Jackson in pick No. 144 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick147
Rnd5
Aaron Graves
Aaron Graves in the 147th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick204
Rnd6
Riley Mahlman
They reached a country mile for Riley Mahlman at slot 204, and the board is aghast. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick228
Rnd7
London Humphreys
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on London Humphreys. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick248
Rnd7
Jordan Hall
Jordan Hall in the 248th pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
