Draft Profile: Bio
Tyler Booker from IMG Academy High School was rated a 5-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Booker opted to join Alabama.

In 2022 as a freshman Booker saw action in 11 games and played a total of 376 snaps for the Crimson Tide. He allowed just 3 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and no sacks while playing the majority of his snaps at left guard, and the rest at right guard.

As a sophomore in 2023 he played in 12 games and a total of 736 snaps. He conceded 8 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and one sack while playing at left guard.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • In the run game, Booker plays with a mean streak and does a nice job generating a push at the initial point of attack. Booker can get outside and does a decent job landing blocks in space.
  • Coordinated when moving to the second level as a run blocker, capable of landing blocks on the move.
  • Plays with appropriate wide base and intelligence, instincts and agility to seal the edge. Aggressive extending with power to punch and looks comfortable in space.
  • He’s a coordinated athlete who can win at the point of attack in the run game, and he can also move to consistently land blocks at the second level.
  • Shows excellent awareness when presented with stunts and blitzes, and he works well with teammates on combo blocks
  • Holds his own in a phone booth, firing off the line with good burst, playing with leverage and showing impressive upper-body strength.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • He’ll have some trouble with quickness as a pass protector; Booker needs to make better use of his hands, and he often stops his feet once he makes initial contact as a pass protector.
  • Can be a tick slow at the snap when asked to pass protect, and at times he looks hesitant when facing stunts and twists.
  • Had issues against quality counter moves, struggling to readjust. That’s something he’ll see frequently against NFL technicians in the pass rush.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
