Scouting Report: Strengths
- His skills as a runner translate nicely to the next level, and Thomas could emerge as an early down back on a team that uses a zone running scheme.
- Fights for extra yardage and is reliable in short-yardage situations.
- North-South runner with good leg drive and physicality.
- Very physical runner; keeps his legs churning on contact. Rarely goes down with the first hit. Lowers shoulder into defenders and shows pure determination with natural running skills to break free and stiff-arm and spin move to dodge tacklers.
- He’s a pure power runner with excellent vision. His size makes him a handful once he starts going downhill, and he has the ability to carry tacklers and push the pile in short-yardage situations.
- Thomas runs like a wide receiver, explosive off the line of scrimmage with exceptional quickness and body control for his size.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- He’s good on screen and swing passes, but Thomas doesn’t have the route-running feel to be the kind of back you flex out.
- He’s more of a cut blocker in pass protection as opposed to a guy who will stick his face in against the blitz, although that is a correctable flaw.
- Thomas has a tendency to seek out contact rather than avoid it. He’s not particularly creative as a runner, going north-south and trying to power through tacklers at the second level.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
