Draft Profile: Bio
Jacob Gall from Moeller High High School was rated a 2-star prospect by 247 Sports with a rating of 0.750. Following high school, Gall opted to join Buffalo.

In 2018 as a freshman Gall saw action in 11 games and played a total of 388 snaps for the Bulls. He allowed just 3 QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing the majority of his snaps at right guard, and the rest at left guard.

As a sophomore in 2019 he played in 10 games and a total of 385 snaps. He conceded 4 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and no sacks while playing the majority of his snaps at right guard, and the rest at left guard.

In 2020 as a junior Gall saw action in 7 games and totaled 454 snaps. He gave up no QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and no sacks while playing most of his snaps at left guard.

After season's end Gall transferred to Baylor where as a senior Gall saw action in 14 games and played a total of 938 snaps for the Bears. He allowed 5 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and no sacks while playing at center.

In 2022 as a fifth year senior Gall saw action in 12 games and played a total of 883 snaps for the Bears. He allowed 8 QB hurries, 3 QB hits, and no sacks while playing at center.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • In the run game, Gall plays with a mean streak and does a nice job generating a push at the initial point of attack. Gall can get outside and does a decent job landing blocks in space.
  • Anchors against larger defenders in the middle; resets hands to maintain distance. Athletic enough to help on nose tackle then pick up twist or late blitzer. Mirrors quick interior rushers. Looks to help the center when uncovered.
  • Finishes and doesn't quit; competitor with a positive attitude and leadership traits that coaches admire.
  • Awareness is above-average for his limited experience. Sells trap block and can turn to seal. Fluid getting to and adjust at the second level.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • For all of his physical gifts, often gets terribly sloppy, especially in pass protection.
  • As a pass protector, Gall gets caught reaching and lunging when matched up against quickness.
  • While he’s solid as an athlete, he’s more comfortable moving forward as a run blocker than setting in pass protection, as he too often relies solely on his initial punch to stand up pass rushers instead of moving his feet.
  • More of a wall-off blocker at the second level, rarely putting defenders on the ground. Gall could stand to be a more tenacious finisher at the next level, as he too often falls off blocks.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
