Draft Profile: Bio
Branden Jennings from Sandalwood High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Jennings joined Maryland after being heavily recruited.

In 2021 as a freshman Jennings saw action in 8 games and played a total of 228 snaps at linebacker for the Terrapins. He recorded 22 tackles, 5 assists, while adding 9 stops. In coverage Jennings notched up no pass breakups, no interceptions, and QB rating when targetted of 92.9.

After season's end Jennings transferred to UCF where as a sophomore for the Knights in 2022 Jennings played 4 games and took part in 57 snaps for the Knights. He recorded only one tackle, no assists, while adding one stop.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Tougher between the tackles than many expect. Fluid and quick drop into zone, covers enough ground to be Tampa-2 "MIKE" and knows where the markers are.
  • Jennings can be used as a rangy run defender inside, instinctive when it comes to locating the ball with the quickness to get to it before blockers can react at the second level.
  • Jennings can move laterally and chase in pursuit. A tough, violent tackler with a non-stop motor, Jennings also shows good awareness when dropping into coverage.
  • Plays fast, flows with the action, showing smooth lateral agility and short-area burst. Has good instincts and awareness to quickly find the ball.
  • An aggressive run defender, filling run lanes hard, and won't shy from contact. Plays with violence to fight off blocks, flashing a physical nature. An intense, powerful hitter who willingly gives up his body.
  • Reads the quarterback to anticipate and is a candidate to play outside.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Jennings lacks the fluidity to turn and run with some of the more athletic tight ends.
  • Jennings lacks elite traits in the pass rush and will need to develop a counter move.
  • He’s going to have to add weight, and even then Jennings will likely be a liability against the run.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
