If confidence were a draft strategy, the Chiefs would have aced it. Miles Frazier at No. 171 is 41 spots clear of where he belonged.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
