The board owed the Commanders one, and it paid up: Kalel Mullings, the No. 104 name on the board, sitting there at the 247th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep.

They are betting Wells Jr. proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
