The Bears let Smith fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched Brashard Smith slide 134 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The Badger pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
