The Bills cashed the board's mistake on Pearl: D.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Bills did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Pearl. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Job largely done: linebacker settled and 7 of 9 of the wish list covered. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
