The Giants found their guy under center in Daniels: B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Giants spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The cost of the Rouse reach is exactly the players who went right after him. On value alone, Smith makes the weekend a net positive.

On the needs board they went 6 of 9, with safety the one that mattered most.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
