The Steelers let Bowman Jr. fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

When a board-topper like Billy Bowman Jr. slides to Round 5, Pick 18, you do not overthink it, and the Steelers did not. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They are betting Bassa proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
