MV DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall

FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Seahawks and Williams: B. Call it larceny. James Williams sat on the board until Round 6, Pick 19, and the Seahawks did not need to be asked twice. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
They are betting Milton III proves the room right and everyone else wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Joe Alt
In slot 16 they get protection for the quarterback, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick78
Rnd3
Junior Colson
No drama and no debate, Junior Colson went about where he belonged in the 78th pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick81
Rnd3
Christian Haynes
Christian Haynes at Round 3, Pick 17 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick118
Rnd4
Joe Milton III
Value said wait; Joe Milton III in pick No. 118 says they were not listening. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick154
Rnd5
Josh Proctor
This one needs a full-page explanation: Josh Proctor in pick 154, miles early. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick194
Rnd6
James Williams
Somehow James Williams was still sitting there in the Round 6 slot, and they pounced on premier safety value. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick236
Rnd7
Jordan Whittington
A big swing on Jordan Whittington at No. 236, well ahead of any board in the building. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
