The Bears cashed the board's mistake on Majors: B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Jake Majors tumbling to the Bears in the Round 6 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They will need Walker to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Quinshon Judkins in pick No. 147 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

They will replay Jake Majors at Round 6, Pick 18 for years; that is how good the value is. It fills a real need, too.
