The Bears got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the C.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bears did exactly that with Collin Oliver in pick No. 242. The final tally is a middling C.

Johnson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The veteran additions, Jonathan Allen chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
