Draft Grade — Saints
Overall B
ValueB- NeedA- TradesC+ FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Saints: B.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Saints never addressed wide receiver, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

On value alone, Jackson makes the weekend a net positive. If Ulofoshio pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick13 Rnd1 Chop Robinson
In Round 1, Pick 13 they get a problem off the edge at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick46 Rnd2 Troy Fautanu
They paid sticker price for Troy Fautanu in the 46th pick, and that is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick123 Rnd4 Jahdae Barron
The board had cheaper options than Jahdae Barron at the Round 4 slot, and it noticed. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick150 Rnd5 Khyree Jackson
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Khyree Jackson at slot 150. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick176 Rnd6 Joe Milton III
Joe Milton III in the 176th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick191 Rnd6 Lathan Ransom
Lathan Ransom in pick 191 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick204 Rnd6 Edefuan Ulofoshio
They reached a country mile for Edefuan Ulofoshio at No. 204, and the board is aghast. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
