The Steelers bet big and early on Isheem Young, 119 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.

The back end got a real overhaul.
