sigma DRAFTING FOR THEBears
Draft Grade — Bears
Overall
B
ValueA-

FutureB-
The Bears won the night they stopped Burden III from sliding. Grade: B. You could see the war room lean forward. Luther Burden III at pick No. 41 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick10
Rnd1
Will Campbell
A straight-up fair deal on Will Campbell at pick No. 10, value and slot in agreement. It fills a real need, too.
Pick39
Rnd2
Tyler Warren
Somehow Tyler Warren was still sitting there in Round 2, Pick 7, and they pounced on premier tight end value. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick41
Rnd2
Luther Burden III
The board fumbled Luther Burden III all the way to the Round 2 slot, and they scooped it up. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick72
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
Taking TreVeyon Henderson in the 72nd pick is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
