The Patriots let Tuten fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 150 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 238.

They will need Miller to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The phones were where this weekend was really won. For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.

Kenneth Grant slipping to the 38th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

They liked Darien Porter enough to skip the value, taking him in No. 69. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
