Somebody in Round 7, Pick 1 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while Kobe King, the No. 122 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The cost of the Conner reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it.
