Draft Grade — Packers
Overall D
ValueB- NeedB TradesF FutureB
The Packers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

The Packers torched the value chart for Trajan Jeffcoat, taking him 56 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. That Bertrand pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In the 28th overall pick they get a lockdown presence outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper at the Round 2 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick58 Rnd2 T.J. Tampa
T.J. Tampa in pick 58 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick60 Rnd2 Javon Bullard
A clean, defensible pick in slot 60 with a little surplus value in Javon Bullard. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick62 Rnd2 Ruke Orhorhoro
They paid sticker price for Ruke Orhorhoro in pick No. 62, and that is fine. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick88 Rnd3 Jermaine Burton
A tidy bit of business in Round 3, Pick 25, where Jermaine Burton graded well above the range. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick91 Rnd3 Patrick Paul
Good price on Patrick Paul in No. 91, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick126 Rnd4 Beaux Limmer
A real head-scratcher, Beaux Limmer in pick No. 126 is miles ahead of his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
Pick202 Rnd6 Kimani Vidal
The board had cheaper options than Kimani Vidal at the 202nd pick, and it noticed. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick219 Rnd6 Trajan Jeffcoat
A wild overpay on Trajan Jeffcoat in the Round 6 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick245 Rnd7 JD Bertrand
JD Bertrand in pick 245 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
