FOXY KNOXY DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Seahawks

FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Seahawks for Leonard: B. Somebody in the 193rd pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Seahawks sat still while Riley Leonard, the No. 112 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Harold Perkins Jr.
In pick 14 they get a downhill thumper at linebacker. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick48
Rnd2
Rod Moore
Rod Moore is a better player than pick No. 48 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick79
Rnd3
Jabbar Muhammad
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jabbar Muhammad in the 79th pick. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick115
Rnd4
Patrick Payton
Patrick Payton slipping to the 115th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick136
Rnd4
Blake Miller
Fair-plus on Blake Miller, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick172
Rnd5
Nic Anderson
Nic Anderson in Round 5, Pick 34 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick193
Rnd6
Riley Leonard
Riley Leonard in slot 193 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick210
Rnd6
Garrett Dellinger
A tidy bit of business in No. 210, where Garrett Dellinger graded well above the range. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick228
Rnd7
Terrance Ferguson
Good price on Terrance Ferguson in pick No. 228, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A need, and now a little less of one.
