Warren should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a B+.

The 49ers ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

Warren at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They will need Pegues to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
