Best value of the weekend goes to the Chiefs for Walker: B.

You could see the war room lean forward. Jalon Walker at the 64th pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Tight end is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Walter Nolen
In pick No. 32 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick64 Rnd2 Jalon Walker
Somehow Jalon Walker was still sitting there in the 64th pick, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick66 Rnd3 Omarion Hampton
Circle this one: Omarion Hampton at slot 66 is a fall that decides a draft. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick96 Rnd3 Harold Fannin Jr.
A tight end of that caliber at pick 96 is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick132 Rnd4 Dylan Fairchild
They barely believed it either: Dylan Fairchild still on the board at Round 4, Pick 31. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
