The Saints answered their biggest question with Nix. Grade: F. The Saints clearly saw something nobody else did in Noah Cain, taking him 119 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Bo Nix is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. That Williams pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with edge rusher still staring back at them.
