Maye is the plan now, and the Giants grade out a D-.

Somebody took the Giants to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.

They have staked the next five years on Drake Maye, which is the only story that really matters here. The Giants indulged a want in Williams while a need in safety, wide receiver and other spots stayed open. The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They banked enough surplus on Jackson to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
