The Steelers did not so much draft Gavin Bartholomew as overpay for him, 131 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Sampson. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
