The Joshua Simon pick is the one that will follow the 49ers into the fall. They took him 70 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. They banked enough surplus on Pierce to cover a lot of smaller sins.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
