Somebody in the 249th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The 49ers sat still while Ollie Gordon II, the No. 171 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

If Roberts pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

Bottom line, with Josh Simmons leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
