Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Bears spent slot 41 on David Walker, a name the board had a full 120 spots lower.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
