Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall

The Steelers cashed the board's mistake on Judkins: D. There is reaching, and then there is RJ Harvey at No. 229. The Steelers jumped the board by 81 and dared it to prove them wrong. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.
However the rest shakes out, Judkins at that price is a win they earned. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Emeka Egbuka
In the 21st overall pick they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick32
Rnd1
Derrick Harmon
In No. 32 they get a load in the middle. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick52
Rnd2
Quinn Ewers
They talked themselves into Quinn Ewers at Round 2, Pick 20, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick83
Rnd3
Xavier Watts
Steal is underselling it; Xavier Watts at the Round 3 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick161
Rnd5
Quinshon Judkins
They will replay Quinshon Judkins at pick 161 for years; that is how good the value is. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick223
Rnd7
Jamaree Caldwell
They reached into another round for Jamaree Caldwell, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick229
Rnd7
RJ Harvey
A big swing on RJ Harvey at Round 7, Pick 13, well ahead of any board in the building. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick245
Rnd7
Shilo Sanders
They took Shilo Sanders at par in slot 245, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
