Whoever sat across the table from the Chiefs should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Watson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Cephus at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Chiefs clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
