The Commanders went off the board in a big way for Tyler Batty, 103 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
