McCarthy is the Commanders' new face under center. Grade: B-.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Commanders committed. J.J. McCarthy is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Reaching for Wallace left real value on the table behind him. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The Brooks value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
