Brooks should have been long gone. The Dolphins pounced, and earned a B.

Call it larceny. Tahj Brooks sat on the board until pick 224, and the Dolphins did not need to be asked twice. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

With quarterback, wide receiver and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. The Lampkin reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
