Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall

FutureB-
The Steelers won the night they stopped Winston Jr. from sliding. Grade: B. Call it larceny. Kevin Winston Jr. sat on the board until the Round 4 slot, and the Steelers did not need to be asked twice. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Kenneth Grant
In pick No. 21 they get a load in the middle. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick52
Rnd2
TreVeyon Henderson
A straight-up fair deal on TreVeyon Henderson at the 52nd overall pick, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick83
Rnd3
Isaiah Bond
A slide stopped in No. 83, with Isaiah Bond worth more than the price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick122
Rnd4
Kevin Winston Jr.
Taking Kevin Winston Jr. in Round 4, Pick 21 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
