After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Giants committed. J.J. McCarthy is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The Ulofoshio pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. McCarthy has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
